Hi there!

I've been carrying a scout/utility knife most of my life, usually in the form of a Victorinox or similar. Recently, I found BladeForums and started collecting some vintage (30's and 40's Camillus, Imperial, etc) ones. You can really tell the difference in quality over the last 40-50 years. They just don't make them like they used to.

Now I'm looking to have a special one made like the good ol' days that I can treasure, EDC, and pass down later in life.

Here's what I'm thinking as a starting point
- standard size, 3 1/2" or so
- some dark scales, something like ebony or black horn
- a pinned shield
- a strong bail/shackle
- 3 to 4 blades:
  1. spear point with a long pull
  2. coping blade
  3. a cap lifter with the end sharpened
  4. an awl

One thing that would be really neat on a knife like this is a liner lock for the main blade. Something similar to how the TL-29 locks the screwdriver in place. Just a thought...

I'd like to ditch the can-opener from the standard pattern since I've never really needed to use one on my knife. I don't camp much, and think that a sharpened cap lifter might be a good replacement anyway.

I have some other ideas for tools to include as well.

I'm really flexible and love collaboration. I'm really interested in hearing what you think towards this design. You're the artisan, my thoughts are just suggestions :)

What do you think? Would you be interested in collaborating?
