Looking for a small fixed blade?

If you've got a bit of money the entire Bradford Guardian3 (G3) line-up is worth looking at. Best place to look is their site where you can "build your own". The Nimbus blades are sweet.

+1 On the Bradford Guardian 3. The 3D scales and the full flat grind on mine make it very nice to use, capable, and small enough it almost disappears on my belt.
When I took the family to see my folks this summer, my mom ( who is not a knife person) saw it and her comment was "that is beautiful". And my uncle (who had a manufactured knives a while back) was impressed as well.

If you want something smaller than the Guardian 3 and a LOT more affordable, here's something to consider:
View media item 1919The A.G. Russell Woodswalker. I got this one yesterday with a slew of other options I am looking at for my daughter's first knife. Today I carried it in my back pocket (with my G3 on my belt in case it didn't hold up) to see how viable an option it is, and it worked well for small tasks. I'll let you know how well it stands up over time.

Enjoy

Arno Bernard makes some nice fixed blades. I have two of his smaller Bush Baby versions. The Meerkat and the Squirrel but his stable of products runs the full range on sizes and handle materials.

Love my Arno! I have a discontinued version of his Wasp with croc handles. One of my top fixed blades!

Bark river city knife. It's a Bob loveless design.

Cold steel mini pendleton hunter.

And even tho I don't have one yet a knife maker her has a one called the blue gill. Jk knives. I believe that's right.

What about the new Lionsteel M1?

I really like small fixed blades. BK11 is one of my favorites.
I can't read a thread on small FB's without out hearing about the Bradford. Looks like I need to save my pennies & get one.

A cheap small fixed I've recently taken a liking to is the CRKT Mossback bird & Trout. However, I really, really want an LT wright coyote in D2 and darker toned micarta, but not black, and a frontier first in A2 with micarta as a close 2nd.

I like my CRKT Mossback B&T as well. The Mossback Hunter is good too!

I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated with small (2.5-3.5" blade) fixed blades, but I am.
In no particular order I have: Camillus Arclite Cuda, R.E.K.A.T. neck knife, Enzo Necker, ESEE Izula and 2 Spyderco Mule Teams.
I'm really tempted to get a Bradford Guardian 3, and now Stammoss opened my eyes for the Lionsteel M1 (yes, I want a small fixed blade in M390).
For me, the Izula is actually one of my last picks, it's too thick behind the edge, steel isn't all that exiting (yes, I'm a bit of a steel junkie), it's not a bad knife, but for me it's a bit too bland and I want something in good steel with a edge geometry to be a real sharp cutter.

In the end, I almost only use them for very minor cutting tasks at home, more or less only EDC my folders, and if I use a knife for bigger jobs, it will be a larger fixed blade.

Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter in your choice of steels. The one in the picture below is 3V, but VG-1 is available.
