Looking for a small fixed blade

I really like the look of the RC3, how easy is it for edc?

I don't have an RC3 but do have an RC4. As far as edc goes it's very good and there are a lot of options. Even the RC4 is small enough to put in one of my front pockets knife, sheath and molle back. I also like wearing it vertically on my belt.

The kydex sheath that comes with the BRKT carries high and tight. I have EDC mine for a while now. You hardly know its there. Shirt tail out its well hidden, and the Bravo will do just about anything.

The $100 range probably eliminates the Busse family knives unless you can get something like a SR Hairy Carry aftermarket. I just got a Charles May Custom recently and it has become my favorite knife though I understand his waiting list is now 19 months. You can't go wrong with a Fallkniven or BRKT product.

BRKT Mini Slither, very sharp, very solid, not too big.

check out the Benchmade Activator, Bark River Mini / Micro Canadian or the HideAway Knife.

Mineral Mountain Hatchet works makes some nice knives:

Ted puts them on Ebay occasionally. Just bought this one.

I also really enjoy David Farmer's knives: see "workingknives.com." My picture doesn't do it justice. I put in the Kershaw for scale.

All good suggestions (which in a way gets you back to where you started). My .02 is the RAT RC-3, as several suggested above. Just ordered one after a similar search to the one you're on.

I had originally looked at the RC-3 but was worried about size. However sounds as if it shouldn't be an issue, so I think I will go with that. Thanks for all your help guys. Will be bookmarking this thread so I can feed this "disease" in the future when I get a little bored of the RC ;)

Thanks again!

RC-3 would be a great choice :) I have an RC-4 and it's awesome. But if you want something even smaller you can wait for a little bit (not long) and the IZULA will be out. It's a RC necker in 1095 :D

Haha, I think I like the look of the 3 more. ;) Nice lookin' piece of steel nonetheless.

I carry the BRKT Mikro II every day in a KSF pocket sheath. It's the bottom one in this pic.

This is just eye candy. :)

You can't walk around town with a fixed blade in Ontario.
Get a nice folder & keep it in your pocket.
SOG Vulcan is what I carry. Peace,Dan

I'd look into a Fallkniven WM1 to replace a folder. A Busse GW if you need a more substantial blade. A Bark River PSK if you need to carry it inside your pocket.

I second that suggestion. I have the Bump, perfect size for EDC. Sharp as all get out, convex grind.

+1 on the Bark River Mini-Canadian.
Bark River has a number of small knives that are great for pocket edc.
If you don't have a local dealer, check out Crystal Falls Trading Company, DLT Trading Company and Knives Ship Free online. Here is a link to the KSF pocket sheath that FoxholeAtheist mentioned .

Bark River Micro Canadian. With 5" total length you can put the entire knife in your pocket (make a small sheath first).
