I'm looking for a small knife to pair with a Chopweiler. The only contender I currently have is a Koster K5 Karda. Any other suggestions? Unless I can find something that is perfect, I think the K5 will win. The only other good ones I can think of would be like a micro canadian or woodswalker.

Hikers backup from stomper would fit the bill. What length are you thinkin? There are many good ones.

BRKT Mini North Star. I have been using mine recently, its a great little knife and is not too small.

This is mine, a Swamp Warden!!!

That's just about exactly what I'm looking to do.
No swamp warden for me though :( I'm digging on the K5, but it's so thin that it twists in my hand. I've got an email in to Koster to see about putting some slabs on it. That should help. The K5 is a little small though. I wanna say it's like a 1.75" blade or so.

Gah I got to get a swamp warden lol. Those combo rigs are just what I'm looking to do. Somebody send me a swamp warden or something!

I leave for my 7-day survival course on the 27th. So I have 3 weeks to get a suitable partner for the Chopweiler, and get it over to JRE to make me a combo sheath lol :)

Noshtero,

Swamp Warden Dim:
OAL-7"
Blade and hilt thickness- (My OD measures .183")
Blade Length- Look at the above pics of mine, JAXX, or Cold One. From the blade tip side of the small coil(the actual cutting edge) the blade length is 2.75".

Hope this helps.

I second that. The little Hikers Backup is such a handy knife, I use it all the time. It's like a pocket fixed blade.

Stomper EDC
DP Companion
Gossman PSK
RC-3
Farmer Dayhiker

This is not in any order!

Man... you guys are awesome.
In just a few hours I've managed to get a Swamp Warden in the mail on it's way to me, and a leather worker lined up to make me a piggyback sheath as soon as it gets here.

Wow!
