Looking for a Spear Point Folder...

Seeing as no one's mentioned it yet (that I could see), I'd check out CRKT's M16 or the slightly larger M21 lineup(s). I'm not sure how highly recommended they are (at least on this forum), and the prices while not too expensive are arguably expensive for the materials used, but they have a variety of models that use 8Cr15MoV up to AUS8 blade steel and liner-lock (some with Auto-LAWKs) and framelock models. I personally own the 3.5" M16-13SF and love the blade. There's bound to be something there that you might appreciate and on a $200 budget, you'll have some cash leftover for mods or another possibly another knife should you decide to buy one... ;)

If I remember correctly, Boker also makes an Applegate Fairbairn knife. Same basic ergos as the Gerber. You might check that out. Not sure if it is a folder or fixed.

Available through Knifecenter along with the like Counterpoint & Recon.

What do you mean by spear point? As in a true spear point with dual edges, false/otherwise, or any spear pointed shaped blade? Substantial how? Like bigger like the Tilite or more robust, with more beefy build?

Theres the BM 485 Valet thats a spear point but not a dual edge, more substantial then a 530 but its small. Smaller than the 530.

Cold Steel Recon 1 (4"), American Lawman (3.5"), Mini Recon 1 (3"), all in CTS-XHP about $100

Recon 1 (4")
American Lawman (3.5"-ish)
Mini Recon 1 (3")

Those would be my top 3 suggestions, though I sold my Lawman. Rock solid knives built for a beating. If you'd be ok with a more leaf shaped blade, a Paramilitary 2 or a Manix 2.

Al Mar sere 2000, Fallkniven pxl, Emerson cqc 10 and put the cqc 8's blade shape in as well for its excellent penetration qualities.

As Craytab and Inazone above said, I'd take the Recon 1 spear point, with all your items checked (AUS8 Semi serrated can still be found cheap), plus crazy strong lock and construction, and if you like it you can upgrade to the CTS-XHP one with a more durable DLC coating.

Both combined for less than your budget!

The Cold Steel "Sebenza Killer" Code 4 is available in spear point. Spyderco makes what they call a leaf shaped blade but are really fancy spear points, such as the Native 5, Sage series, Manix, and more. Another knife that is close to a spear point is a Spyderco Endura.

Protech TR3 framelock. Used from second hand are sometimes under $200. Also Bradley Alias. Benchmade 913 has assist opening but very cool one without silly springs which can be broken after while. But it's discointinued. I forgot BM 730 Ares, sometimes there are sprint runs available for ~$200. And Benchmade Dark Star, I've one, also discontiuned, but sometimes is on ebay etc. - ATS-34 steel, great manual action on teflon washers.

I would recommend to take a closer look at this "Dozier Arrow" from OKC.

It's very light, well balanced and overall very well built. D2 steel and G10 handle.

Was about to say this as well. That is by far the most iconic spear point blade that does not break the bank and is designed by a noteworthy designer.

The 'cheaper' alternative to the CRKT M16 is the Gerber EVO series.
