The Razel seems pretty cool. What kind of things would you use that forward edge for?

Scraping. Prying. Lifting a section of bark to check for bugs.

One of my friends finds it works on lab hoses, cutting them cleanly by pushing straight down with the forward edge. Good control.

BRKT did a limited run of a American tanto back in 2005 if you can find one.
Might be what you are after.
