Looking for a tacticool mall ninja knife.

You can grab a nice blackened CRKT M21-SFG for under $80. Good blade steel, and pretty hefty. Plus it's sooo much fun to flip open. :)

In summary, I'm looking for a ZT0500 MUDD for under $50, any suggestions?

Um......isn't that a Kershaw RAM

EDIT: Dammit, I got beat to the punch. I think I am with the other guy. Get an ET and a box of bandages. It is a fun knife and you will cut yourself.....but, that's half the fun.:D

I've always been interested in the E.T. as I am a huge Kershaw fan (almost exclusively). But I always end up getting something else instead, a free one would be awesome though :D

Well, I gave my word. If ya want it send me your address.

The generosity of this place never ceases to amaze me. PM sent, but reply with your address cause I'll send you something too

Just get yourself a crkt. Lots of choices and in the right price zone.

That was my first instinct as well, but they don't seem to have any blackened tanto blades that are plain edge :( Just realized we live in the same city :D

I was being serious with my Mantis suggestion. Not all of their knives are expensive.

I can't think of anything more flashy looking for $50. If you're going for "whiz-bang-badazz" looks, that's what Mantis is all about. Some of them do look cool, and would be more than adequate for "fiddling with while watching TV" duty.

I do appreciate the suggestion, it was a good one, unfortunately none of them were quite what I'm looking for (aside from the expensive one).

Hehe, ya I think I'll pick up a 2nd RAM when the new cheaper one comes out (assuming that it does).

Right here my friend...mall ninja central. You can get 5 or 10 tacticoolmallninjapigstickers for around $50.:D

Wow, that's a lot of options for not a lot of cash. Nothing jumped out at me though. But I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy something from that website anyway, I almost feel dirty just looking at it.

I realize now that I actually had a pretty specific style in mind. Black blade, tanto tip, plain edge. Cold Steel Recon 1 would be perfect except for the price. Maybe I'll stretch the budget and just get something that's actually decent, I'd probably regret wasting money on something that I know is junk anyway.

Since S&W has been mentioned a few times , I'll recommend a specific model , CK44CS Bullseye Extreme Ops.

It comes in a variety of styles, including a Tanto and a bolstered version.

This knife weighs about 11 oz's and has a blade that abouts 1/8th" thick at the spine. The G10 scales are black , but from the side you can see alternating layers of red.

You'll need big hands, it's a huge knife. It doesn't have a clip , but then again it probably wouldn't carry well in the pocket..... it comes with a nice belt sheath.

All this for $30.00

I bought one to satisfy my mall ninja craving.

How about a Benchmade Vex Tanto. Tanto blade, black or dark blade, plain edge. About 40 dollars at Bladeworks. Probably a decent knife to boot. No auto though (sad).

Hmmmm, now that just might be an idea! I've been meaning to try out a Benchmade for a while, although that's probably not the greatest example of one.

I'm surprised how hard it really is to find the combination of tanto, black blade, plain edge.
