Hey ,
I'm looking to by a new tomahawk , I've searched the web but have had little luck with finding what I'm looking for . Which is a traditional looking tomahawk , say a pipe or hammer style with wood handles for around $50-60. I can find my share of $300-400 ones but no bargain hawks . the other thing is I want it to be functional , not just a wall decoration and the cheaper hawks tend to be junk . So, any suggestions? I did find one on ragweed forge , called the Slasinski Hammer 'Hawk , anyone have any experience with these?THANKS.

Check out Ft Turner or HB Forge - the previous posts are informative also

I hope this isn't spam, have you looked at Ragweed froge?

Ragnar has quite a few under $ 50 and if you want a user to beat on this may be a good place to start. Pat

Check out K R Johnson's hawks here because he has some sensible forged hawks at great prices. I'm working on one now.

Thanks y'all . All of the advice was helpful . I went ahead , and ordered the hammer hawk from ragnar today. I just bought the head and am going to cut down a sledgehammer handle for the hawk handle. I am trying to turn this into a fun project . I hope to make it look like a somewhat authentic tomahawk from revolutionary times. Also I got really excited by the cold steel trail hawk custom page and am planning to do something cool to mine in the not to distant future. i.e. when I get a steady cash flow. Anyway thanks again .:cool:

I can't remember but which of the 2 between H&B and Fort Turner is the brand that tends to be heavier and thicker.
