Looking for a traditional fixed blade for my little brother.

Man Lion I was hoping you didn't say you hated the knife,I like mine hell of a knife.

No chance of that. It probably sees more use than anyof my other fixed blades. The wife even uses it sometimes in the kitchen. That said, I did rehandle it. Its not that the original handle was bad, it just wasn't quite right. Besides, I had some stag handle slabs from a used up knife that had been waiting to be used.

For the money though don't you think they are a real bargain, I mean there up there with a lot of higher priced stuff, which is also excellent. I just like mine and if you don't like the scales well not that bad to change them...Take care have fun Mike

Yep, I think they're a great bargin. And like I said, there wasn't anything actualy wrong with the handle. Mostly I changed it because I love to tinker. I've modified just about all of my fixed blades and a number of my folders. If I haven't modified it, its because I either haven't goten to it yet or it has a strong sentimental atachment.

Have you looked at the Fallkniven range of knives. They have lots of different models both in size and price range. There is also an option to buy just the blade and put the handle on yourself. You will get a really, really great knife for a decent price. and since your brother can put the handle on himslef it will always be HIS knife.
