• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

So I have a GEC #92 that has a little bit of blade play in each of the blades. It's not a huge amount, if you check for play while holding the base of the blade you don't notice it (if you hold halfway up the blade or near the tip you can tell) and while it's not a functional problem it does kind of nag me. If I compare it to some of the Queens I have or my Case Swayback Jack there is a tiny bit of play in all of them but there is slightly more in my eureka jack.

I'm wondering if anyone offers a service where I can send my knife in, get the pivot adjusted to remove the small amount of blade play, and have the whole thing buffed to get it looking shiny and new. Just a couple of small tweaks to get a nearly perfect knife a little closer to perfection. The patina on the backsprings and the small scratches on the bolsters don't particularly bother me, but I do kind of miss the mirror finishes it came with.
