Looking for a very thin, one handed folder.

I'd love to get a folder that is as thin as possible (both in blade thickness, and blade height), that is 3"-4" long, and has some form of single handed operation (thumb stud, hole, flipper, etc). Somewhere around $100 is what I'm looking to spend.

Right now, I'm looking at the Al Mar Ultralight series, but I'd like to know if there is anything else out there that I should take a look at.

The Kershaw Chill seems to meet your criteria and is way below your price limit (<$20). The Benchmade Nagara could also be worth a look.

Edit: +1 on the post below -- can't believe I forgot about the Leek! If you don't mind the A/O, you'll have a hard time finding a thinner blade (in terms of both height and blade stock) on a quality one-handed folder.

I think Kershaw leek is close to your requirements, but is assisted opening FARON

I had a leek, and really liked it, but I'd love to get something with even thinner blade stock. Also, I'm not a big fan of assisted openers.

Boker Trance. Really neat folder and being a SS framelock is thin as hell. Blade thickness is normal though.

I have the Al Mar Falcon Ultralight, and it's a really nicely made knife. However, because of how light and thin it is, it seems like a toy at first. Also AUS8 isn't a great steel. But I haven't found any knives that are really like it; it's definitely a nicely made and unique piece.

I bought a Benchmade 530 Mel Pardue just to try it out. When I misplaced it I bought two. I now have three. This is my favorite EDC knife it's so thin and light I forget it's there until I need it. It is also one of the smoothest opening knives I've ever owned. I always baby it, no matter what other knife (or knives) I have on me.

Besides what was already mentioned, maybe check out the Benchmade 940 or the Spyderco Endura. Tom Mayo's knives are very flat, if there's a flat Buck Mayo TNT out there, I'd imagine that's about as thin as you can get.

The Spyderco Centofante 3 or 4. Awesome EDC slicer!

+1 to that. But I would add that the Spyderco Delica with a stainless steel handle is very trim, more so than the centofante, but it is a bit wider and much heavier, If that is an issue.

The Spydercos mentioned are thin, yes, but broad in the pocket.

I think a 940 would be a good choice, but a new one is slightly above the $100 mark. You might find a used one for $100 or less though.

Are you looking for a thin handle or a thin blade? Spyderco Cento 3 or 4 have very thin blades. And the FFG Delica have slightly thicker spine but the grind is very thinned out towards the end.
