Looking for a very thin, one handed folder.

BM530 has been my edc for the past few years. I haven't been able to find a thinner, lighter folder that is just as easy to open and close.

I tried really hard to find other knives that match the 530 but havent been able to. Equally thin knives are either heavier (use metal handles) or use a less convenient locking mechanism (such as a frame lock or back lock). Equally light knives are usually smaller or narrower and less comfortable to use.

Spyderco Lum Chinese sounds like exactly what you're after. I doubt you'll find a thinner folder that opens so easily, this thing is very low profile.

Right now, I'm looking at the Al Mar Ultralight series, but I'd like to know if there is anything else out there that I should take a look at.

Just checked out the Al Mar Ultralights and they look amazing. I think you're on the right track

(Now *I* want a Falcon...)

The discontinued Spyderco FRN Caly Jr. had a thin blade and handle profile, although I'm not certain it's significantly thinner at the spine than the Leek.

You can find them on the secondary market. I had the VG-10 and ZDP models--both very nice.

Come to think of it, the original Spyderco UKPK is a similar design, and thin. It's a slipjoint, of course, but the spring is very strong.

My Stretch has the thinnest blade and best slicer of my knives. Otherwise the BM 530.

My thinnest folder is probably a Boker Titan. There is no thumbstud though.

A pair of those were my first Spydies -- highly recommended!

Another vote for the 530. I've had one for over 5 years now. Great knife.
