It is definitely one of the heavier folders I own. It has a beefy frame, and the biggest liners of any knife I own. I would easily describe it as "overbuilt". You cannot flex the frame even when white-knuckling.

Is it too heavy? I don't think so. I don't own a Strider or Airkat so I am saying this tongue-in-cheek; I don't believe it is as big or heavy a folder as what either company makes. It easily can be said that it is a robust folder because of the G10 frame and titanium liners. It would be heavier than a mini-Grip with "plastic" handles.

They left the frame "open" with spacers to help reduce some extra weight, IMO...I think this picture comes the closest to showing it:

OK, I went and looked at one the other day(gravitator). sweet knife! but they also had it in the spearpoint blade style. I know I said I wanted a Wharncliffe but dang, that ones tight too. :D
