I have an old knife with pearl scales, one of the slabs is a little wobbly as it has elongated the holes in the scale material where they are pinned. There is a little day light between the scale and the brass spacer, I wanted to put a little glue product on a business card to slide inside the daylight to coat both surfaces needing bonding. I would then use softeners and maybe stack books or use a small C clamp or bessey clamp for compression.

Anyone able to suggest a good clear drying glue?

Thanks

Pearl is best glued with rubber contact cement, but in your case a clear epoxy might be better. I would use clear polyester casting epoxy (available from Hobby Lobby.)
There is always super glue, too.
