Looking for advice on my first Busse purchase

My next one will be one of these two... GW or BATAC... probably GW as its a real utility knife, and very sharp... my FBM will beat anything large... so need something small to accompany it!
 
Budget? We don need no steenkeeng budget!

You guys are awesome. Thanks for all of the input. I think what I'll do is take Morimotom and roppda's advice and order a badger now, and try to pick up a reasonably priced Game Warden before the Badger shows. Since they seem to hold their value better than Hondas I can see which one I like better and sell the other. Though I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to end up keeping both.:eek:

One question, though: The Extravaganza......can somebody please share the details of when this happens and how it works?

The 'ganzaas are set up on occasion here and on the Busse Combat forums. Advance notice will be posted by Jerry Busse whenever they have some leftovers or special runs or whatnot; the participant's requirement is to select what knives and how many and then e-mail the required information to both Jerry and Garth within a specified time. Orders are filled on a first-email, first served basis.

That's just my take. I am but a pork rind and may have omitted important information. But that's the 50,000 foot view for ya!
 
Did a search and found a number of GO! posts and the aforementioned directions to email Jerry and Garth. You email the quantity and item, but what about a Credit Card#? Do they contact you for it later?
 
You are supposed to call the Busse Combat shop after you get a confirmation e-mail that states you have secured whatever you e-mailed for. I think.:thumbup:

Send you CC number to me and I'll take good care of it!

Seriously, though, never send your CC number in an email. You can trust the Busse crew, but you never know who might get ahold of that info.

They will send you a confirmation mail if you score in the 'ganza, and you just call the phone number at the shop to give them your billing info.

Or, you can eventually do what most of us do and just leave a card on file with them. They'll send you an email telling you what you scored and asking if you want that CC charged. Its so smooth that you don't even feel it, until the bill comes of course.

The worst part is waiting for the confirmation email to find out if you scored anything or not.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread Lazlo! I am newb also to Busse and I am thirsting for insight too. Thanks MORIMOTOM and other unamed INFI Gods for your sage advice, but I am broke due to all my recent orders. A GW will have to wait. In the last two months I bought a Spyderco Delica, Buck-Strider 889, RAT-7 D2, Emerson Combat Karambit & La Griffe, ordered a DF, ordered a BATAC. This is insanity!

I am afraid of how kick ass the Busse's are going to be and fear for my marriage and credit score! :D

thats quite a haul! the gw's will be around for some time, and im sure there are more variations coming to the store, so dont feel there is any urgency to get one now.

With proper training from such astute individuals such as your self and others I may even be able to drop the bad habit of buying mass produced POSs.

Lazlo, I recently read a thread from several of the INFI Gods here on BF that if we PM them: kiss enough ass, resort to bribery and pity they may sell us some of their extra INFI when they score multiple hits on the Busse Site. I am keeping this in my G2 for future reference MORIMOTOM & OldPhysics (I am right up 95N from you, except I can't get out of my driveway today). :D
