Im a senior in high school so I dont have the money for an expensive folder but im looking for any suggestions in 60 to 100 dollar range.
been considering full size grip or the endura 4

the rake is a good looking knife will look more into
still open to suggestions have some time before my next pay check

Para2 or manix2 or sage 1.

Leek g10/s30v or blur s30v. Rake and JYD composite models are nice too.

0350 blem from kershawguy for ~$85.

Buck vantage pro.

I'd say a spyderco stretch or a native make outstanding EDC's. It really depends man, what size are you looking for. What type of handle material, blade steel, lock mechanism?

I am looking for a blade over 3 inches
for handle material im really up for anything and same for lock mechanism
basically I am just looking for any suggestions because I am not really sure what I want

Alright well I'm new to knives (relatively, been collecting for a year and a half) so a great starter would be a cold steel American Lawman. The triad lock is proven, the handle is comfortable, and AUS-8 is a good starter steel because it's very easy to sharpen. If you want a knife with better edge retention and higher rockwell hardness, then go with a griptilian or endura. Honestly it comes down to personal preference, I absolutely love the axis lock but my favorite blades are lockbacks, like the endura, recon 1 (outstanding self defense blade) or Benchmade's Ascent models.

Thank you I will be checking those out and I guess i am relatively new but I have a few good knives already and thats why i keep considering the grip because my friends has one and it really is a great knife

The only knock on the grip series is the handle. It just feels hollow and plasticity, in other words...cheap...

In all honesty I think you would be getting as good if not a better knife for your money with the manix2. That said, definitely spend the few extra bucks and get a para2. It is definitely worth the $100 or so that it costs.

You gotta remember thought he is a new guy, sharpening those can be quite a challenge if you don't have the tools for it.

well my friend already has the manix 2 and the manix 2 with the glow handles, so i am looking for something different and i have always liked the para2
and I understand the cheap feeling with the grip handle and i agree to some extent
I mean one thing I am really looking for is something different with out going over 100 dollars but I know thats hard to do

The manix2 uses the same steel (154cm) as the grip. Sharpening should not be an issue. Besides, better, tougher to sharpen steels are an incentive to learn to sharpen. Also, I have zero problem sharpening s30v either on my sharpmaker or free hand. S30v isn't really that bad, nothing like zdp189 or cts-xhp, s90v, m390, and a few others can be quite a hassle but I definitely would not be scared off by s30v. Its a great user edc steel.

If the manix2 is out, I would look at a para2 if you are looking for a light weight slicer and the zt 0350 blem if you want a heavy duty work horse.

I will for sure look more into the para2 i have always liked it and for some reason zt knives just arent that appealing to me

only thing with the para2 is it is just little to high for my current price range being a student and all i just cant spend over 100 dollars although i wish i could
