With your requirements, I'm not sure how "affordable" anything you find will be.
I was going to suggest a M-Tec, United Cutlery, or something along those lines, from a truck stop, swap meet, or a Mall "Knife Store". (note quotes) At around $20 or less (the last time I was at a truck stop, about 6 years ago), they are "affordable". Most had "Assisted Opening", too.
