Recommendation? Looking for an all stainless folder edc

At first glance kinda stiletto looking.
Sez the guy holding a Delica......

I bet in any given public situation that Delica would be viewed as far more scary than that old timey looking pocket knife with a cat on the side.....

One more vote for Ruike. They have a good selection of all stainless knives that are very good value. 14c28n is a good choice for corrosion resistance

14C28N gets a lot of love in discussions on "best budget steel" here. Even compared to premium blade steels, it has excellent corrosion resistance and is one of the toughest stainless steels. Edge retention is very good for a budget steel. It's relatively easy to sharpen too.

Absolutely. Unless you want crazy good edge retention it is a great choice.

I'm also a fan of the Endura but do not have one in stainless; only 4 Gen 1 FRN Clip-it variations. However, the Endura (like the Police) is one of Spyderco's oldest models that have always been popular and don't think you can miss buying either one.

Used to be fond of D2, but so far been very impressed with the 14C28N that Sandvik uses, apparently developed especially for the parent Swedish company, though the knives are still 'Made in China'. A bit more corrosion resistance than D2, always nice for us boaters, with nearly as good edge retention, and yet much easier to sharpen... not bad for a quasi-'budget' steel.

Spyderco has a few stainless handle models in their byrd line and some in their smaller knives. I think the dragonfly and a pingo.

I think kershaw probably has the most options that I can think of, mostly due to the weight penalty of lose of grip associated with stainless steel handles. A lot more in aluminum and ti handles.

op, what's the deal with titanium not being okay for your chemical reaction deal. I dont get it? what am I missing?

Sandvik originally developed 14C28N as a blade steel for Kershaw. Kershaw had exclusive use of it for a while but now several Chinese companies import it for use in "budget" knives. It has decent edge retention and excellent toughness for a stainless steel. "A bit more corrosion resistance than D2" is an understatement. It's actually one of the more stainless blade steels. Here is a quick excerpt from one of Larrin's tables, rating corrosion resistance out of 10:

9.1 - M390
9.0 - S110V
8.8 - 14C28N
8.1 - N690
7.9 - VG-10
7.8 - S35VN
7.6 - S30V
7.5 - 440C
7.3 - 8Cr13Mov and AUS-8
6.4 - XHP
4.5 - D2

Spyderco Police C07 SE, this is a great knife. Been around a while and still popular.

if you want something smaller than the Delica you have, there is actually a Dragonfly SS too.
