How has nobody suggested an opinel #8 yet?
Super light, very thin blade and an excellent slicer. Will almost disappear in your pocket. If you want something even slimmer then look at the #8 slimline.
At ~$12 it's a great bargain.
The single layer, two-blade, alox Victorinox Secretary weighs only 21.8g which is a whooping 0.77oz, but is a beast at 5.55mm thick. The single blade Sentry is lighter. What's worse is the Secretary costs a WHOLE $15! $20 if you don't shop carefully.

It's so thin that it rides comfortably in the coin compartment of my wallet. And it's the only folder in my collection that I don't rotate. I guess you could call it my back pocket EDC backup blade.![]()
So I'm looking for a new EDC knife, the only requirements are as thin as possible (thinner than a Skyline), as light as possible, and blade length under 3.5 inches. Other than that, go crazy. Thanks in advance!
Al Mar ultralight series.
BM 940 is not very light though.
