I'd like to find a KaBar sized fighter with full tang and removeable scales. I don't want the wide blades of the BK7's or Rat's. I really like the look of the TOPS USMC fighter, but I'm not really a fan of TOPS. Anybody else have a production blade that comes close to this?

The Busse TGLB has somewhat of a KaBar look and feel to it. I did a video review of it, called it a Kabar on steroids. :p

What do you have against TOPS? They make some silly designs, yeah, but is that really a reason to boycott their non-silly designs as well? And the USMC really does seem like exactly the knife you're looking for.

Never said I was boycotting TOPS, just said I wasn't a fan. The Busse is nice, and so is the Swamp Rat.

The Randall #16 does not have removeable scales, but it is one helluva fightning knife. The sharpened swage on top of the blade allows you to cut both ways.

Meyerco makes the CQB1 formerly made by Camillus or their CUDA line. They're thin, stabby, perfectly balanced 'fighter' knives. The Camillus versions were issued, in a limited amount, to US .mil overseas. They sell for closer to half the retail listed:

If you can find a Gryphon M30a1 designed by Robert Terzuola, who designed the CQB-1, is very similar although it doesn't have removeable grips.

I can't think of anything else with the 'thin' blade you're looking for, although I'm sure TOPS makes a dozen or more knives that fit but are probably called the "Eagle Stabber" or similar :barf:

The Randall #16

If you want one of these, for a few hundred dollars less look at the convex ground tool steel Blackjack version:

I've been looking for a similar thing. I want a fixed blade, Full tang with a good finger guard.
it really depends on your Price point.
There is the Medford TBF Breakdown; It sells for about 1500$

I haven't researched it too much because of the high price; Someone in one of my posts thinks it might be more of a show piece.
I also found one by Extrema Ratio; The MK2.1, and I think it runs for about 500$

Extrema Ratio Knives are fantastic from what I hear. Really Rugged and the MK2.1 does come apart for cleaning.
Fox Knives also have the "Fox Rambler" and the "Defender Fox"; I don't know how much they cost or where to get them.

I also like the Jericho Hellhound series (They range from 400-200), Reminds me of the Knife they use in Halo Reach. I would prefer them with a finger guard though:
