I know this is the knife trading section, and that there are rules. I read em. I hope this is kosher. If not, I understand. I finally decided to rely on the argument that a guitar is a tool.
I am looking for an old guitar, especially Gibson, and I thought I'd ask whether anyone had one sitting in a closet that they'd like to turn into a bunch of nice knives. I've got a slew of Graham Bros, some MS fixed blades, some nice slipjoints ( Davison, Alsdorf, GW Stone), couple of unique Randalls, and a couple of microtech otfs. I am about to list them all for sale to fund a hunt for a guitar, but I figured if I was lucky I might find an old sleeper in someone's closet. I'm searching for 1960s era acoustics and hollowbody electrics. Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbackers and original Thinline Teles are what I have in mind, but I am open to anything in that arena.
So go see if some relative or other gave you an old guitar you don't use, and turn it into a fistful of steel. You will come out ahead if this happens to work.
PM if interested.
Thanks,
Kelly
