Looking for Barlow Suggestions

Of course once you buy one Barlow you will start to wonder if the spear point would be nicer, after all it is a slick looking blade. So you add another Barlow to the collection. A few weeks later you are in hone depot buying some rope and you pull out your spear point, look at it and then at the rope and then back at the knife and think that a sheepsfoot would be nice for something like this. Later in the month you fish your sheepsfoot out of your pocket only to discover you need a third hand as one is holding the rope, one the Barlow and no extra hand to open it and you think that one of the one handed man Barlows would really be handy about now....

it never ends....

Absintheur, so true so true. I saw your barlows in another thread. How are the rough riders? I might pick up one or two of those to coodinate my pocket jewlery to other accessories. For now though I think I'll get the boker with the celluloid faux tortise (it will match my sunglasses) I think. My next question is, with such an easily scratched handle materiel how should I carry it? I assume a belt sheath is the best for keeping it shiny and new looking, as it won't be inadvertently placed in the same pocket as my keys, but I honestly don't like the idea of a pouch on my belt for day to day in the city type business. How do you carry your favorite barlow? Maybe I can make some kind of open top leather pouch for dressier days I wear a jacket, or something integrated into a wallet.

Oh well.
Cheers,

Bradd.

I do believe you can get a Russell w/ clip main blade. I also have a Boker in jigged bone which has exceeded my expectations based on its price. A wonderful deal! Tell us what you choose!!

clucky ~ The Rough Riders are good knives, far better than their price would lead you to believe. I have quite a few RRs and I have yet to be disappointed by one. As salty141 stated pocket pouches are great for protecting finishes.

So far I would have to say the Bark pearl is my favorite from RR....
