Looking for "Big" folders

SOG Spec Elite 2: five inch blade, right or left hand tip up carry, VG-10 steel, and SOG's version of an axis lock.
Big and sturdy, but not "mall ninja" looking like some big folders.

This one is 9" long, 4"x3/16" S60v blade, G10 onlay/inlay scales, g10 thumbstub and bkspr, ti jeweled frames, custom ti clip. I dont know the exact weight but considering the thick a$$ edge, ti and G10 its probably lighter than expected. Everything was done by myself. My next one has a more reasonable edge... about .030", unlike this ones .050"+ limb wacker. I actually want to grind this one thinner, but man it holds an edge! And relatively well priced for a custom.
BTW this thing runs smoother than any production piece I have ever owned.

Sweet looking folder Frank! What are the specs? Liner thickness, blade thickness, weight, steel type, handle material, and anything else you can think of.

You want a seriously big folder? Check out the Todd Fischer Mega Folder... Oh yeah, it's nasty. It's only (ONLY?) 5.25" inch blade and 11.75" OAL oddly dwarfs a 14" long "kitchen knife". The last pic is 4.25"blade 9.75"OAL, but is still beefy as hell. By the way, they all fit very nicely in a pocket.

There is also a super mega folder with a tanto in the works.

Frank, your folder is very nicely done from looking at the pics. It is the style of knife I want in my tiny collection. Are you taking orders for these?:)

Down here, in the real world, where we may have to carry the beastie in a pocket, the likes of a Kershaw Blur, JYDII, or Buck 110, around 3.5" of useable edge, are fine. Additionally, the Kershaws are available in a myriad of blade materials, like S30V and D2, while some vendors have CPM154 and S30V Buck 110s. They are also affordable and easily available. Now, for what really looks like a bigger knife, consider the Buck #419, their Folding Kalinga Pro in S30V. Here it is with a 110 and a #408 fb K-P:

I've carried that 419 in it's sheath in my cargo pants front pocket - once, even, to a Christmas Party!

with an extended overall length of 20 inches, the Opinel no.13 (aptly named "The Giant") is something mightly potent despite it's woody appearence.
