Looking for blade maker

I always wanted a more accurate, practical Rambo II (or First Blood Part 2, whichever) knife but am on a budget like the rest of the world. I've started change jars in hopes of buying a Welze or Wood custom Mission knife but something always comes up and bleeds my funds. I'm hoping desperately that my son, who'll celebrate his 1st birthday on the 18th, shares my interest in knives and the Rambo 2 Mission knife is THE knife that sparked my interest in cutlery as it was the first action movie I was ever witness to. My question, and hopefully someone out there can help me, is this: does ANYONE know of a custom blade maker that would be willing to make THE BLADE ONLY to a Rambo survival knife at a REASONABLE price??? I want to disassemble a cheap China UC or even MC Rambo 2 knife for the guard, handle and pommel but have a 10" blade made that closely matches the "swayback" of the bowie style blade from the film and refinish, rewrap and completely redo the rest myself. I have a maker for the sheath, but have been in search of a decent priced blade maker for years. Every company or individual custom maker I've messaged has either been severely over priced or simply ignored my query. Material doesn't matter; it's going in a display box that will be passed to my son, God willing, and hopefully he'll have the good sense not to use it on a camping trip in future years. Sorry to ramble, but any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wasn't there a movie knife made? Hibben design for Rambo 2?
Good luck on your quest.

Hibben made 3 & 4; Lile, may he rest in peace, made the first 2. United made the first replicas then Master Cutlery bought the license to the Rambo name. I wanna take one of the cheap replicas, dissect it, have a blade made and use the rest to make my own "custom" piece. Thanks for the best wishes, but looks like $550 is the cheapest one can have a blade made for. Thanks for the reply though!

Tell us what a reasonable amount is. For true usage, the Rambo knife is a hollow handle, which means to have even a modicum of strength, you'd want to go integral, where the blade and handle are forged together without a weld. If you want a replica that can't hold up to hard use, that's doable. But if you're looking for an actual hard use knife, then you'll have to go integral or sacrifice the hollow handle and get a long tang that can go through.

Zero

Edit: you say both "practical" and also "material doesn't matter" and "it's just going in a display box"- so which is it? And why wouldn't a simple MC or UC work for that purpose? It sounds like you want a real integral forged usable Rambo knife, but don't want/can't to pay for it.
