Looking for Bowie recommendations

I use my Becker BK9 for hunting all the time and recommend it highly. It's fantastic for snap cuts and chopping (for constructing blinds / bushwacking on the trail of wounded game, etc.) batons like a freak if you decide you want fire for some reason and works as a great general knife. They won't break the bank and they will rock your socks.

I see people recommending the BK9. Nothing against it, but I wouldn't consider it a Bowie. OP - are you open to the idea of big choppers that are not actually Bowies? If so, definitely check out the ESEE Junglas. Its in the same boat as the BK - its a big solid knife that is not a Bowie :-)
