Actually, Triton, I don't speak German, but I was able, with a paperback German-English dictionary, to work my way through most of it. Silber is silver, messer is brass, bronze is bronze (of course!), and so on. I ordered the Roman rooster folding knife, a silver Roman fibula brooch, and a rather large bronze Frankish fibula brooch, the last for a friend. The workmanship in all three was top-notch, the prices were quite reasonable, and the delivery times were very quick. My only suggestion is to be very clear in what you are ordering because Holger's English, while miles better than my non-existent German, is not perfect and I wound up with a knife that I did not expect, but actually a very much nicer knife, in my opinion. I had not seen the one that I finally received when I had ordered, or I would have ordered it. You also need to send an international check from a bank or a personal check, not a postal money order, but you can work those details out.
What did you think of his weapons reproductions, once you got over the prices? While his eye candy is very reasonable, his weapons are out of this world in price. But, gad, are they gorgeous!
Bottom line is that I really like Holger and his work and have been recommending him and am about to put my money where my mouth is and order a Migration Era belt from him.
