looking for bushcraft video downloads

I am looking for links to some downloadable instructional video clips on bushcraft and survival that I can store and play off my laptop. I want these for Scout meetings and presentations but the location of our meetings doesnt have internet access so using Youtube or other web based players doesnt work.
 
The british fellow who does 'A to Z of Bushcraft' has podcasts available if you search for them. Information is pretty good for beginners and pleasantly laid out. It's also in pretty short, digestible episodes.
 
Those A to Z videos are pretty good, that guy knows his stuff. I remember a few times he mentionsd safety precautions, which is good for scouts to learn.
 
There's a crapload of really cool bushcraft vids from Ray Mears TV shows on YOU Tube. Go to YouTube and search "Ray Mears" or "Bushcraft"
 
The videos of michel blomgren are downloadable on bushcraft.se and as a stream on google video... Great stuff!
 
you also might want to invest in Verizons wireless card for your laptop. The speeds are broadband and then you'll have access to all the youtube videos you want, wherever there's service.

I have a whole bunch of Ray Mears episodes in .avi format. I'd be happy to put them on some DVDs for you. Shoot me an email.....
 
Ive been slowly downloading stuff from that website... but a few of the videos either dont work or they reach halfway and theres just audio. I hate that one download at a time thing.

At least you can download something. It keeps telling me
"On this server there is a limit on the number of simultaneous downloads (max downloads=4).This limit has been reached. Retry later." ?
Guess i'll retry later.lol.

If you want to save youtube content use firefox as your browser.
Firefox offers a couple of free plugins that will enable you to download the majority of the content on youtube.
There is also videodownloadX (formerly youtubeX) which used to work great but doesn't seem to be working right now. They seem to change their name every now and then. I think basically it runs in a cycle, youtube mods their software so downloadX doesn't work, then hours/days or weeks later downloadx mods their downloading software so it will work, then youtube mods then download countemods etc etc.
Basically the Firefox plugins work for most things.
DownloadX (when it works) is a second choice and there are probably a ton of other sites that faciltate youtube downloads as well.

morrow, you do know what you are proposing is extremely illegal? those videos are protected by copyright
 
The limited downloads is because there is a limited capacity of the DSL line. To give everybody a fair amount of download capacity, it's limited....sorry for the inconvience....

For many Gigs worth of free gun related manuals, articles, diagrams etc i've been told this is a good site

The appropriate subsections are in blue 3/4 of the way down the page.
This site looks modest on the surface but has an enormous amount of good quality gun related stuff.
Even with high speed it will take you a long time to peruse the available materials.
