Looking for Chris Reeve's comments on "Idaho made" stamp (not a debate about it)

I actually prefer it... For me it adds a bit more identity to it. I'm proud to be from my state and I like that Mr. Reeve has a pride in Idaho for his. Regardless, I don't own the knives for the stamp and wouldn't base my further buying decisions on whether or not it has them.

I agree. When it first came out, there was people whining and crying saying they would not buy another CRK because of it being there. Heck I dont even notice its there, and when I do, I am glad its made in USA. For those that dont wanna buy more CRK because of it, that just means more for ME....!!! CRK sales are probably at an all time high too, look at their backlog...! So it really hasnt effected sales at all.

I don't mind the Idaho Made, but all of mine have it, so I might have a skewed sample . I do understand why some find it unappealing though, as it does moderately disprupt the simplistic elegance of the Sebenza. Perhaps if the font and placement were different, it might be more aesthetically pleasing. I think it may have been less divisive if the engraving looked less like an afterthought, and had more of the spirit of quality and elegance that exude from Chris Reeve knives. I do realize that Chris has made up his mind and it is his product to do with as he pleases, this is just some half-baked Friday night rambling.

I do think it would look cooler if they did it kinda fancy like the Classic XX engraving on the classics. But Chris has his reasons, so I am fine with it. Doesnt bother me at all. I will still Buy Buy Buy CRK.

I absolutely love it! I'm a naturalized US citizen and very proud of anything US Made or Americana.

Agreed. That Classic is a Classic look. I'm a fan of Roman Numerals though. Honestly though, I can't believe there was such an uproar over this.
