Looking for containers

Smaller than a chapstick tube is a tough call for me. the only thing that occurs is finding the right diameter of bamboo, cutting it the length you want it, and putting cork caps on the ends or waxing them shut or both. It may by a dumb idea, but i can't see why it wouldn't work for your purposes, and the candlewax would help as a firestarter. Hmmm I like dumb ideas sometimes tho, I think I'll make one tomorrow and stick it in one of my survival kits. Good Luck.

Next time you visit the hospital ask them if you can get something. I have several small plastic tubes that they use for pee tests. No, they are not used.
Some are like a 35mm film canister but taller and has a screw cap and some are like short test tubes, also with screw cap.

i keep about 8 trimmed down strike anywhere matches in one of those little spy capsules that goes on my keychain.

Most hardware stores and Sporting goods stores have the Coghlans and other brand Match cases. GoingGear has Aluminum Capsules that hold matches and they fit on a keyring nicely. I have a bunch of them for holding Aspirin, Ibuprofen Vaseline Soaked cotton balls and have some spares for matches when I find the matchets I want to carry in my kits.

How about the tube that Pyrodex pellets come in when you buy 25 packs? I use them all the time, can cut down to size and they have a stopper.

There's the tube size plastic "travel" tylenol that I've seen that is a little bigger than a chapstick but I assume it's watertight.

I have a couple of similar ones that I use for tender, matches, ect. Works great, very durable.

Do you know any diabetics? some brands of test strips come in a black vial about 2 inches tall and 3/4 wide, round with a attached flip top air tight lid ,as an added bonus they have moisture absorbent white lining(none removable).
