Looking for good Fixed EDC options

Looks like all the suggestions so for are either flat or saber ground. Does anyone know of any good convex knives to check out?

I've been rummaging through the Becker and kabar website and I must say I never realized how cool kabars are. Better late than never...

At <$50, you will be hard pressed to find a better value than a Mora Bushcraft Black.

ESEE have great blades... though I hate the ESEE 4... I'd suggest the ESEE 3 ... or the Izula 2.. I love both of these knives...

You shouldn't just look at the steel.. like 1095 ... you first need to look at your environment... depending what weather you have over there... will decide which steel you should be getting..

GOODLUCK...

ESEE 3, compact and feels good in the hand, goes anywhere. Its 3+ blade will do everything you need to do. I have a 4, good knife, but handle in my opinion feels slightly awkward than the three, maybe that can be attributed to the more heft in the 4. Kabar's tweeners 15, 16, or 17 all fit the blade size you are looking for. The BK 16 has the drop point, and you can get different handle scales if you want.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I think I'm going to start small and go from there. I have set my sights on an ESEE Izula 2, and I'd like to know if anyone makes or can make a good kydex pocket sheath for it. I'd like a sheath that will clip to and stay in the pocket like a folder clips in, but allows me to draw the knife with a lanyard. If there's a better option for EDC let me know, I primarily wear button up shirts so I can't really do neck carry.

IF you are going to EDC it I would not go any larger then a ESEE 3. The BK 11 / 14 / 24 would also be a fine pick.

I decided to go big and picked up a ESEE 4. I also took the opportunity to give Froglube CLP a try to protect the blade from rust. I've been using the blade for a few weeks and it has worked out wonderfully. It's almost too big for pocket carry, but I'm planning on picking up an Izula2 soon to go with it for those times where I will have smaller pockets. I'm interested to know that after my initial Froglube how regularly I should re-treat.
