Looking for info on the C08 harpy/merlin from it's inception ,untill now.
Mostly interested in the different model variations & changes over the years.
I know there are a number of hawkbill collectors here.
Any info/pics appreciated.
regards,Rick.

Harpy intro in 1987 SS scales PE & SE early mods were made with left or right orientation, but this was soon discontinued (as was the PE model).
Interestingly, the lefty models weren't just drilled for clips on the opposite scale, the blades were ground on the opposite side from their right hand contemporaries.
Merlin (with slightly thinner blade and FRN scales) was added to line later and included SE or PE blades initially (later the PE was dropped).
Steel used for Harpy have included GIN-1 (also known and marked as G-2), ATS-55, VG-10.
Merlin steels have included AUS-8, GIN-1 (but marked G-2), & ATS-55 (the current Tasman uses the H-1 steel).
Scale material for the Harpy has included SS, G-10, and short run of carbon fiber.
Scale material for the Merlin has always been FRN.
Minor changes had occured such as adding the Boye dent in the lock release and clip design/mounting.
I don't have the dates of these changes, sorry.

This is my family: Merlin PE, Harpy G-10 SE and Harpy CF PE. That's the G-10 version that I like the most...
