looking for ideas for a different 6" fixed blade

Hi peeps and almost Merry Christmas! I'm looking for ideas for something different for around 6" fixed blade, as compared to the big names of KaBar, Tops, Cold Steel, etc. I would be wanting to spend about $125 tops, and tactical looking is ok considering I don't own any knives that look like they would be. Thank you very much for your time and have a great night and tomorrow!
I know that you mentioned no big names like Cold Steel etc but I can't help but think about the SRK in SK-5 steel by Cold Steel! It also comes in 3V and VG-10 if you like an upgrade in sreel.

Maybe I'm just having difficulty processing the numbers; but you said easily found for the money he's budgeting (which is $125), and linked to an ad with a posted price of $200.

Medium Warcraft Tanto is 5.5" blade length .

It's Cold Steel but quite different from their others .

I've got the next size up 7.5" blade version . Great strong knife in 3V , very reasonable price .

Check out Viper and Lion Steel. Italian, well made. Lot of M390, D2, Niolox..and some 690, typically. Should be some nice offerings between your $125 and 200.

I've had both Lion steel and Viper. Fixed and folders, very impressed w/ quality, FF.

You can easily find a Blackjack 17-1 for the money your budgeting. Think Randall, but less expensive. Very good knives.

I love Randall. I just don't want to wait for some years. Who knows what could happen within that time lol

It's all good, cause I'm going against my own rules and looking at some cold steel and the spyderco perrin bowie which is only about 5" as well lol. I like those russian knives as well, but I'm not too sold on the handles.

I actually like that a lot. I dig the smooth blade w/ those scales or handle

Perhaps I'm a little off, but there's a couple for sale right now for less than $170 (and I would have taken that if offered from that ad). Which is at least as "in the ballpark" as all the sub-6" blades offered in this thread. And I'm far from being the only person suggesting he spend more than $125.

I love Randall.

Then buy a Randall. I got my last one for just over $400 at an estate sale a few moths back. There's no need to wait years, you just need to look in different places.

You could also look at some of the offers from abroad. I lucked out a while back and got a Kizer T2 (I believe) fixed blade in s35VN for about €100. Ofcourse, that's a bit smaller than what you're looking for. The point is these brands offer quite some value for money, if you don't mind going chinese. I've also been eyeing Bestech, but I have no experience with them yet.

Buck is an American company that offers excellent options in your price-range. You could also try the exchange here and go for second-hand options to see if you can stretch that budget a bit further.

Randall Model 5-6”

I'm curious as to where you are finding those for $125 or under. I'll assume you are selling them yourself, so I'll go ahead and post that I'll take them. I have two family members in the service they would make good presents for. PM or email me to let me know how you want to complete your transaction.

Thank you.

Anza Dune Field. The blade on this one is 5 7/8”, but they are hand-made and may vary somewhat. If you want to just go out and buy one, most vendors have them at $170, which is quite a bit more than I wanted to pay. When I came across one at $115, I jumped on it even though the vendor seemed a bit dodgy. In fact, I had to start a Paypal case to get the vendor to deliver the knife. My point here is that you can probably fid one at a price you can tolerate if you are willing to hunt around.

The knife is an odd cross between an art piece and a beater knife. File work on a file knife.
