Leather? MooDex? Kowdex? Kydex? Its all the same to me, keeps the sharp bits from cutting the soft bits, eh??

And if I remember correctly, the spines were uncoated (or polished clean) on all of them - from the tip all the way down the handle. Don't know if they're all like that, (or if my memory is out to lunch) but if it's a fairly rare thing it's pretty likely that it came from Blade.
