Looking for info on salt pot heat treating...can someone explain it..?

Are you talking about salt bluing? I havent really heard of using a salt bath for the actual heat treat but rather using it as a way to color steel such as polished damascus.

Heat Treating...some Smiths use it, seems it's more expensive maybe because of time/method...don't really no much ..
