I got it. Had a long night at work last night in the rain and about to head back out there. Tell you all more later but it looks exactly like the one pictured by Flaco57.

It was at a garage sale in a town a few miles over. I spoke with the guy and got more information. Turns out his uncle was into "always spending money on all kinds of things...art, guns, knives, etc..."
The guy who sold it to me was pretty old himself so I imagine the uncle was way older.
Anyway it was as I thought. He told me his Uncle had a knife just like it only bigger! He said he sold the big knife a few years ago to a guy for about the same price.
This knife was in a tool drawer. It has a few scratches but the blade seems perfect. Upon closer inspection it is marked "A 97" on the inside of the presentation slab.
I'm really liking it but almost afraid to carry it. I put in in a sunglass bag to carry it around last night and just fondle it. Very smooth opening and of course I had to test it out, razor sharp.

So I'm a knife novice and I know many of the affordable production knives but not too many high end productions or customs.. I'm always on the hunt for a good deal on a gun, flashlight or knife. About 20 years ago I scored big on a Glock G19 for $250.
I did tell the seller that I thought it was somewhat rare and probably could sell for $300. He still just wanted what he asked for originally. Though I like it a lot it will just sit at my desk at home. I already carry a HAK on my duty belt and a ZT0300 in my pocket for work so there's not a need to carry. If CRK quality is like this I see a large sebenza in my future.

Thanks everyone for the input here and I promise if I ever decide to pass it along it will be here to this group.
