I am trying to find GOOD quaility stainless steel kitchen knife blanks with attached bolsters for doing stonework scales.

I am not into making knives as my passion is the stoneworks. I want to make a kitchen knife set for each of my daughters and their husbands for Christmas.

I can find 440C knife blanks but none have attached bolsters except for a few by GUDE in Germany. With the dollar being so low in value to the EURO they are out of an acceptable price range.

I am looking for (two of each) five knives: large chefs; small chefs; bread slicing; carver; paring

So, I thought I would try here to see if anyone knows of a source or one who can make two sets for a reasonable price or trade for stoneworks.......

Check out Jantz Supply (knifemaking.com). They have some very good Japanese style blades with VG-10 core sandwiched between Stainless damascus. Kevin
