Excellent choice! See what I mean about the smooth opening/closing? It opens with a "marble shooting" type flick of the thumb. And also closes one handed by holding it with fingers clear and making a very gentle "door knocking" movement with simultaneous operation of the Axis Lock button. Easy does it on the closing flick or the blade will bounce back open...takes a few tries to get the hang of it. Enjoy...and have fun backpacking :)
