I'm a young knife maker from Southern Ohio, my heat treating "system" (if it could be called such) recently died out on me. I have two blades of O1 that need to be heat treated, one that is for a customer who has been very patient with me, and the other is a personal blade. I need to have the customers blade heat treated as quickly as possible, so I decided the best option would be to pay a machine shop to do it. After calling around and getting prices ($50 was the cheapest, and that is too much for me to swing on a single blade) I'm desperately hoping there is a knife maker close to me that can help me out. I'd be willing to come to your shop to heat treat it, send the blade to you for heat treat, pay you to heat treat it, anything would be great. The blade is an upswept skinner (aka: "Sharpfinger") profile of sorts, measuring 7" long X 1" wide X 3/16" thick. It is O1 tool steel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am located about 20 minutes south of where St. routes 70 and 77 cross in Cambridge, Ohio.
