^^What he was originally looking for ^^

Cold Steel Espada XL or a voyager, Luzon, or counter point. All can be had in the “lite” versions IIRC, and come in Aus10 steel, (waaayy better than any $25 Amazon knife) they have a warranty and also a good reputation in the knife community. They are around 3x the price, but most are under $90.
Edit: forgot the Talwar, that’s a big knife, similar to the espada L

Cold Steel Espada XL is definitely on my list now! That thing is freaking beautiful wow
Haha see what happens when you log on the forums 😆
Edit: I took a screenshot of the knife you mentioned and posted a pic, we aren’t allowed to post any direct links unless they are supporting vendors

curious....why such an enormous folder? My fixed blades aren't that long...

For fun, at least for me. I own guns that are fun, but aren’t “serious” or practical, really. YMMV

FWIW - the CS Ti Lite and Hold Out are big folders that are well made. Sort of adaptations of Italian and Scottish classics, but on steroids. Surprisingly solid and wobble free when opened, too!

While only a 5” blade , the Medford Gigantes is well, gigantic! You better have gorilla mits, deep pocket jeans , and work out regularly to carry this beast

1) In case the steak is a little too rare.

2) Sometimes, breakfast needs intimidating.

3) Because the toast is staying buttered.

4) Real life is not level-gated, and you might just wander into a ninja attack. You gotta anticipate things like that.

5) just because

6) packs smaller than a fixed blade of equal OAL

7) talking point: "look at this bit of stupidity I bought recently!"

Don't overlook the Cold Steel Frenzy. The blade is "only" 5.5", but it's so slim and (relatively) lightweight that you can easily carry it in basketball shorts. I've owned multiple CS mega-folders, and the Frenzy carried better than all of them.

So I like large folders, where I live there is a 3" limit on any fixed blade. There are cheapies, which are meh, like that 8" BudK Timber Rattler, or good ones. Though the 6" assisted stiletto is just super fun, looks good too.

My faves (starting at 5", not 6")
XL Kalashnikov from Boker, big ol auto, it rules!

Cold Steel Voyager series, 5.5 I have the tanto, but they make other shapes, great, easy to open one handed, rugged

Cold Steel Espada L - this 5.5 inch version rules, mine are XHP but the AUS10A rules too (just like the above). Very good work knife.

Rajah II, great big 6" chopper.

Espada XL - Still v good, pocketable, way more carryable than ya'd think, can choke up, can get almost 11" blade length with the handle. I love the XHP, S35 and AUS10 version. Wish it was auto. Totally rec.

Need to get all of my CS together for a pic

Cold Steel with the Tri-ad lock only , if you ever intend to actually use a huge folder .:thumbsup:

Most other lock types will not handle the forces generated by very large folders nearly as well as the Tri-ad .
