Looking for my first Becker

You can't go wrong with anyone of them to start. You will end up with at least a few of them before it's all over. haha
Each Becker blade has purpose and each blade is different. They all work well, some just work better at certain tasks.
Pick one you like and go for it. You will not be disappointed.
 
Well, $72.94 later, now I'm the proud owner of a Ka-Bar Becker BK10. Will report back later when she finally gets here.
 
They re all right dogzwovwar,got my first becker 10 days ago,got the 7 cause i find it attractive,the 5 is in the mail and i m already looking for a 2...!!!!! DAMN YOU becker!!!!!!;)
 
My first was a BK-2 because of all the chatter at the time about how good it is. I would recommend a BK-16/BK-17 or a BK-10 as a first Becker if I had it to do over again. If you want smaller, go with a BK-24 and buy some good scales/handles for it immediately.

Added: I see you made your choice; BK-10. That is consistent with my experience using these knives and I think that the BK-10 is a good choice. Basically the size of the BK-2 without the un-necessary bulk.
