Well ive finally desided to look for my first Busse. I want a good user but I cant really find any specs on blade or handle sizes. Im thinking a game warden might be a little small since I have larger hands? I was also looking at a Satin Jack but I dont know the specs on it. A blade lenth of 4 1\2 inches would be ideal, anything over 5 1/2 inches is to long to be carrying around in the city. Id like the blade thickness to be 1/8" or 3/16" I dont want any serrations or tanto blades, just a plain drop or spear point will do nicely. What would you infi fans recommend? Thanks.

If you can find one on the for sale forums, the Meaner Street or Badger Attack 3's would be my first choice. Otherwise you can hope that Scrapyard (busse sister company) will have more Scrapper 4's in soon, which is basically a Meaner Street (infi and all) with a Resiprene mudder style handle. *edit: I meant to say Leaner Meaner street, as that's the thin one. The regular meaner street is almost a full 1/4 inch thick.) The Original Satin Jack has a 6 inch long blade, and the Tac model is similar, maybe a little longer.

Any of these are worthy of consideration:

Euro-4
Tanker
Groove Master
Buffalo Soldier
Badger Attack-ergo
Badger Attack 3 and family (Anorexic BA, etc.)
Leaner Meaner
Meaner Street
Active Duty
Air Rescue Knife (not the NARK)
NARK

Some that are EDC sized in my collection:

GW
AD
MrS
ABA
NARK
SJ (ignore this, it has a 6" blade)

Unfortunately, except for the GW, they are all strictly secondary market targets. Post a Want-to-Buy in the Exchange and cross your fingers.

Here's my ABA (Anorexic Badger Attack) in satin with snakeskin scales.

Hard to find, but fits your criteria nicely.

Hey, go to Scrap Yard Knives and pick up one of their 4" Scrapper 4s. It's made out of Busse's Infi steel and it's cheap. It'll be exactly what your looking for. Good luck!:)

Ghostguy6, you want a EDC size of Busse in the reality is they are not easy to find! Even when you find one, MrS (Which fits your describtion perfectly), will be around $500.00-600.00. In rbmcmjr's picture 4 out of 6 I seriously can't remember the last time they show up in exchange.

GWs are by far very actively selling. You need a Busse EDC now, grab GW when you still can. Selling a Busse GW user price won't be too bad. Scrapt yard now has INFI offering. The street Scrapper 4 with cheap price. The other way to go INFI.

That will be my advise.

You're looking a quite a lot of money to get into a Badger Attack of any style. A Straight Handled one could run into the $500s by now, although most will be in the $400 range. Badger Attack Ergo may even get over $400, and the BAiii will not be less than $300 unless you're getting it from a friend or for a servicemember at a "thanks for serving" price.

That said, they're worth the money, and if you don't get one now you'll just end up paying more for it later.
INFI and Real Estate: the best time to buy was yesterday!!!

Ok, some hogs may not like this, but... the one knife that most accurately fits your description is SR101 (modified 52100), not INFI: the Howling Rat Little Mischeif. Based on what you say you want, I think you might actually be happeir with this knife than with a BAIII.

The Scrapper-4, basically a mudder handled INFI-Coot (a knife that sells for well over $200 now) is a very good choice considering the price, and you get INFI for your money... but again I would urge you to take a real good look at the HR-LM before you jump on the Scrapper. It just "looks and feels" right.

I want to add my two cents. The gamewarden is available on the exchange right now so it is a good idea to get one and try it out. The SYK street 4 is way cheap and available so I would jump on that, just in case you end up liking it.

With Busse knives you can resell them and not lose any more than shipping, so it is kind of like a free trial.

You commented that the GW seems small for your needs, so I would get an order in for the SYK street 4, and try the warden out anyways just in case. This would give you something to use in the meantime while you wait for the next Badger or Street to go on sale at Busse Combat.

And about that BA-III, I don't think they will be available as an offering in the future unless one comes via Ganza. The handle styles seem to have evolved over the years and I don't believe a straight handle has gotten the nod in about a decade. If you want one of those you are going to have to pay the secondary price, which is a tough bullit to bite when the knife is sold in mint condition, priced accordingly, and you want the thing for a user. I don't recall seeing a lot of used Busse's on the exchange, some but not a lot.

I wish I had found the ABAIII or Anorexic Badger Attack III first, it is a very handy size. I love mine... I have the Desert Tan version, but any version of this style is handy!

Why does that link at the top say that infi is at 60-62 Hrc and the website calls it at 58-60? HOGS in the know, could you tell me which is accurate and when did it change? Thank you.
