I have a GrooveMaster and a Buffalo Soldier (similar, full height grind, slightly different grooves on top). I might catch some dissents around here for saying this but here goes. Its identical to the BAIII except for the butt end which I think is better on the GM and BS because it is shorter. BAIII's are way pricier and harder to come by. The GM looks a little goofy but is extremely functional and you are basically getting one of the most popular (BAIII) blades out there for all intents and purposes at a better price.

He is quite correct.

This I have heard reported from knife USERS as opposed to collectors.

I never cared for it, but one who lived in 'Sewards Folly' and had a thing for Chinchilla swore by his as a EDC.

I respect his opinion.
