I love my Manix 2 lightweight (uses a steel that they call CTS-BD-1, seems to hold an edge forever), and it's VERY light for a lot of knife. I definitely prefer the full flat grind and relatively thin blade compared to the steep hollow grind on a standard Manix 2.
Similar sized, I'm continually impressed with my Rat 1 (At first I though it was ugly, but it feels soo good in your hand and the blade geometry makes for a knife that cuts most materials better than most others, it grows on you fast), but it's a big, heavy (although it's really surprisingly unobtrusive in your pocket), somewhat scary looking knife (I have no problem carrying the Manix 2 most days where there are times and places that I shy away from carrying the Rat 1, and I've had people tell me that it's an intimidating looking knife). If you're looking for something in that size range capable of dealing with hard use i'd say that it's a definite best value out there. I'd honestly think it was still a good deal at 2x or more the price- I don't think there is a better built, better performing knife for under $100.
