Looking for opinions on Benchmade nitrous Stryker

Is it just me or there seems to be quite a few negative comments about Benhmade ? Maybe it only has to do with BM's AO ?

Benchmade's a big company with a lot of fans and a bunch of critics, but you can't please everyone. I think BM makes some of the best autos and AO's in the market, their new AO Axis models are superb, and it's very hard to beat their customer service.

My nitrous stryker is my daily carry, love it! I'd just like to get a better razor edge on the blade as it's not a work knife but a last ditch knife. The AO rocks with this model!

Howdy,

I have a mini stryker, 907 and really like it. I put locktite on the pivot screw and it works great (every benchmade knife I have required this). My experience with this knife is very good. I resharpen/rebevel every knife I buy, so I can't comment on the longterm use of the factory edge. My resharpened edge is great.

For EDC, I prefer an axis lock knife, either the Presidio 520 or Osborne 943.

I also have quite a few Kershaw Leeks and Chives in various blade steels, colors and configurations. They are good knifes also. I have never had any problems with the AO mechanism.

Get out and try out the ergonmics yourself. Benchmade and Kershaw both make good knifes.

Like the above, the 907 is my favorite edc. No play in any direction, and just incase ive also put loctite on the pivot screw. You can find them for 90 now, and they are well worth the money. Great lockup, finish, materials, and ergos in a small and light package. Not to mention the AO is great, ive been edcing it for more than a year with no issues on mine. I don't mind the toothiness of the grind because i use my knives, to me its just cosmetic.

I've edc'd a minigrip before this which was fine, and have a 940 with me alot of the time but the 907 gets the most use.

I'd say go handle the knives in person if you're unsure as all of these are great knives.
