Looking for pics of certain Bucks.

Haebbie,

What a great collection. Can I ask, what is the knife I noted below? It appears to have some kind of coating on the blade, guard and bolster.

Scott, would you please name the fixed blades in your middle picture?

These knives have the inverted 2 line tang stamp...from the top..120 General...119 Special...103 Skinner...105 Pathfinder...118 Personal...102 Woodsman...and to the far right a 121 Fisherman.

Thanks for all the pictures, guys, I appreciate it. Some really nice Bucks there. I never knew there were so many different variants of each model, either.:cool: I would have replied sooner, but I completely forgot that I started this thread until just a few minutes ago.:o I just bought a phenolic handled 119 at Walmart today for $25.00. It was a clearance item; someone apparently tried to steal it by opening it in the bathroom, and then changed their mind. The sales clerk in the sporting goods section said that one of the employees found it and the sheath sitting in a bathroom stall, minus the packaging, and brought it back to the sporting goods. Weird story, but kind of neat (and I got the knife for $10.00 off:cool:) I'm also going to Paul's (a local discount store in Clinton, Iowa) to buy a 105 on Tuesday or Wednesday.

One question: The 105 that I looked at at Paul's has red liners in the guard instead of black. Is this of any significance?

Thanks in advance

Hi Mike,

thanks for looking.

The marked knife is a 639 with the 119 handle (first I thought it is a 139, that would make more sense because of the handle). Blade, guard and pommel are satinized, also the phenolic parts. I like this knife especially because it is a rare one. :D :)

Best,
Haebbie

Haebbie...thanks for the response. I see you also have a 119 with the rubberized handle, very nice collection.

The knife in question is a 639 - B2, Cat.# 8079, 315 made and serialized. Similar to a normal 639 but with a phenolic handle and the broached saw teeth have been omitted. The finish is sand blasted not coated. FYI.

Thanks, Richard, for the info. It is one of my favorite knives.

Mike, they called it 619 -- the 119 with the rubberized handle.
With this system the 639 with the phenolic handle should have the number 139.
But It hasn't. I don't know why.

Best regards,
Haebbie
