I am looking for a quality (Spyderco etc.) under $100 pocket knife without a pocket clip on the handle:

Quality & under $100 3 1/2" - 4" blade with a rubberized not plasticy, slippery handle material. I've seen so many nice knives with the pocket clip on the handle and to me it's just not going to work. Had a Kershaw with the clip and I just don't like it. I currently EDC a Sog folder with a plastic type handle that's not comfortable.

Recommendations appreciated

All you really need is (for most knives) a T-6 torx driver and the clip can be completely removed from most modern production folders (i.e. Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw/ZT) Just look for screws on the clips of the knives you like. If it has 'em it can come off.
Hope this helps.

^^^ This is true.

I take the clips off all my knives. I hate clips. T6 Torx will take care of most of them.

Wish I could do that. I have to keep the clips on for the improved leverage of opening the blade. So many knives now are so thin without the clip my fat fingers have trouble with it.

First thing that comes to mind is a Buck 110 but I assume you are wanting a one-hander.

hi Sigbear, per your description, the Spyderco Endura should be just about perfect for you. As others have said, just remove the three small screws with a torx driver and you are clip free. :)
