I have spent a couple of hours today trying to locate some texaco type A quench oil and some parks 50, and havent came up with anything. Any advise on where I might be able to locate some of this oil, all help is greatly appreciated. I noticed Darren Ellis was out and thought some of you guys might be able to place some for me, Again thanks,Charlie

+1 for Patrick (patriqq)
Good to deal with... and just about the only place I know of where an individual can get Parks 50.

You could try contacting Chevron's quench oil branch and see if after buying Texaco they are still making Texaco A. Could be making it under another name. I'd be looking to talk to the chemists not the sales people.

Brownels carries quenching oil. Not sure exactly who makes it, they have the Brownel name on it. It is a fast quench oil, cost is around 50 bucks a gallon

Charlie,

If you can hold off until you get to Batson's, there is a good chance that Darren Ellis will be there. He was last year. He will probably have some AAA and some 50. If he is there, you will at least save the costs of shipping.

The quench oil Brownell's ("Tough Quench") sells is made by Houghton International and is called Houghto-quench "G". If you can get out of Hougton where their distributors are and get from the distributor where their users are, you might be able to pick up either some HQ-"G" or HQ-"K" in small quantity. HQ-"G" is like Park AAA. HQ-"K" is like Park #50.
