Looking for racings axes

What trees were they cutting on the Island of Tasmania?

Those that didn't have a family of angry devils living in it? :D

Now that's a beautiful axe right there.

At $385 NZD for the cheapest option and $425 and $460 for the others I don't think so.. Bit out of my price range for an axe..

I had the impression it was priced lowed. This not being the case, I find myself in the situation to wish you to become rich :P.

The fact that those are cheap imports from China.

It's a shame that they are not open about that on the site. The description, "Tuatahi Throwing Axes are hand forged..", reads a lot like all their other descriptions for their axes. That is a bit misleading. Anyway luckily we have blokes like you around! So their other 3 options are made in NZ then?

I may have to back pedal on that. Tuatahi used to advertise 'China Axes' on their website. I thought the throwing axe was one of them. But I don't see it listed as a China Axe now.

May well be made in NZ. Perhaps our Kiwi bloke can check with them?
From June 2009 to 2015, at least, Tuatahi listed their throwing axes as "Made in China".

In August 2007 - February 2009, Tuatahi specified that "Our Throwing Axes are made from the same high quality steel as our racing and work axes." By June 2009 (up to and including the current website), this reassurance was no longer given.

I was heading for the phone mate and then Steve knocked it out of the park. It can be insinuated I suppose they are made in NZ with the changes made but definitely not 100% clear. Or perhaps they realized they could sell more if they took off the china stamp and give it a more rustic forged look..
