Well the RTAK is the largest in the line it has a full flat grind on two inch wide 3/16" stock with a full ten inches of edge. You probably mean the Tak1 with the 4.25 D2 blade. Lol I also *HAD that but traded it as my 3 suited me better. I have held the 5 and I like them both. The biggest diff is the RAT5 is in 1095 and the TAK1 is in D2 and 1095 so the TAK1 you get your preff of steel. I like D2 in a blade 4.5 inches or less for slicing(just me). The feel of the RAT5 is well a litte better suited for an all around camp knife I believe with its litte more weight and reach you can do just that little more with it than the tak1 and there is more steel there for battoning and other camp work. Its a nice size for carry w/o carrying the 7. I am personally going to buy one I just dont need one right now. The diff isnt that great but to me going from a 3.5in rat 3 to a 4.25 in TAK1 didnt make sense to me so I ditched the tak1. the 5 makes more sense to me as far as size and usefullness goes and I think it looks a little better. small rant over.
