looking for RAT?

I just got both an Izula, and an RC6. Boy, that's a big knife. It will be very handy for camping or yard chores or whatever requires a more substantial knife.

But, I really love the Izula, a lot more than I thought I would.
Its the perfect size for day to day cuting chores. I'll probably get a few more oif them.

I have about 10 or so knives and the RC / EESE knives are the sharpest knives I've ever handled. I'll be sure and give them the respect they deserve.

I started with an Izula and an RC-3 in the same order. I figured I'd carry the Izuzla and stash the RC-3 in my bugout bag. Plans quickly changed... The Izula was too small for me, so it now serves backup duty in the bugout bag, along with an RC-6 that I recently recieved. The RC-3 was carried quite a bit for a year or more, and now does duty in the Get Home Bag that I keep in the car with me, and still rides on my belt quite a bit.

It really depends on what you are after, no one can tell you what to get. I would recomend starting with an Izula and an RC-3, if you want to carry one on your belt. You will always be able to find a job for the one you like least, RATS are useful tools.

The "Goldilocks" of the line is the RC-4. If I could only bring one knife into the boonies that would be it. I prefer the Izula for skinning deer, bear, dressing birds, etc. I'll often use both in concert-Izula for the more delicate work, the 4 for butchering. Since you "don't camp" get the Izula. You can carry it everywhere.

:)I have a RC-5 and an IZULA. These are FANTASTIC knives. I take the IZULA with me all day and the RC-5 is my hard use knife and I mean they are HARD use knives. GET ONE...you will be very satisfied!!!!

I was looking at the HEST but I think my brother has me really looking at the RC3MIL- that's what he's got and he loves it. Then I'll get the Izula folder for my EDC when it drops followed by the RC5 then the Junglas.

does rat 1 folder count as having a Rat? :)

Technically, not a true pedigree since it has some .....ahem :barf:; mixed bloodlines in it. However, it is still better to have one mixed as opposed to none at all! So, ...:D

I'm a big fan of the Izula, but the RC4 is my fave. The Izula excels at everyday cutting chores, though, and I don't know anybody that has regretted purchasing one.

I'm doing the opposite from most. I started big with an RC-5, then just picked up an RC-4, so I working my way down............

Try and go to a dun/knife show and hopefully you can handle several of them....I can recommend the HEST. It's a unique knife with plenty of well thought out features.

I have my RAT RC5 for a month now.. totally love this tank of a knife.

I now have an Izula + an RC3mil plain ordered.. thats just the beggining..

btw, do we have a date on the junglas ?? i got too much money in my wallet:D
